scout comes home
Here are Some of the mammals. Guess where we are.
Scout is the tall one in front with glasses. Beside her is Polly in the purple shirt with glasses. Males from front to back, Huckleberry (the one in blue sweater and glasses), Silas, Chicken Whisperer ( blue hockey jersey, wearing glasses) and Professor Calculus (not his real name) (blue T shirt, glasses on).
My last several posts have been on the building of community and the maintaining of community and singing the praises of community. While I believe that one could write an entire book on the subject, maybe a few, that has already been done. And I intend not to write about that anymore for a while, as I prefer just nailing down the random thoughts in my head on a daily basis. It grounds me.
That said, if anyone out there in blog reading land have questions or comments about Catholic communities and think that I may well be the only person in blog writing land that can answer or understand these questions or comments adequately, you are welcome to pursue this topic with me. I do enjoy having all the appearances of being an authoritative figure, even if I am not.
So...won't preach about that for a while.
Anyway. Scout came home. I picked her up last night at the airport. Then we got lost on the way home. When we got home, I discovered that Sparky had let all the small children except Rosebud stay up to see their sister. Which was very kind but not very sensible. But Scout was happy and the other offspring were very happy. They thought we should take the day off because a Sister Day is almost like a Snow Day.
But I am not that nice. But we did do an abbreviated sort of day. Because I am that nice.
The significant part of Scout being home was that while I was driving, (quite badly by the way, because I was running late) was that I had a Great Thought. But I don't want to usurp the excitement caused by Scout's return home, so I will put the Great Thought in its own post later.
