Catholics and NFP

Did you know Catholics are actually not required to use Natural Family Planning? Yuh huh. News flash. Of course, we can also use NFP as a means to space babies…but we aren’t required to use NFP. NUF is another, lesser. talked about method. Naturally Unplanned Families.

 We can, if we choose, not use NFP.  Not use NFP.  We can not abstain periodically if we want to.  We can in fact, never abstain if we so choose.  We can avoid pregnancy through periodic abstinence.

But.  We can also avoid abstinence through periodic pregnancy. 

I just made that up.  I slay me, sometimes.

Of course, the desire to not practice abstinence is not the reason we seek periodic pregnancy.  But the other way round.  To be more succinct, we would like to be open to babies.  Babies are nice.

It's a fairly common misconception that babies are scary.  They are actually not scary.  I know because I have had quite a few babies and they do not scare me.  A fair bit of work, mind.
