Do you ever need a place to escape?  Do you like to expand your mind?  Do you like to learn useful phrases like, "she doesn't eat fish, but she eats chicken?"

I escape to duolingo Italian.  

I expand my mind there.

I learn useful phrases such as, "she doesn't eat fish but she eats chicken."  And other phrases that are, in fact, useful.

My favourite words are are the question-y things.  Duolingo says I'm 47 % fluent in Italian.  Nobody really knows what that means, but in my opinion, it means that I can speak almost as well as a small child, but with a Canadian accent.

But.  That's pretty good.  It's 47% more Italian than I knew three years ago.  And three years ago, I couldn't have held a conversation with an Italian four year old.

So that's something.

I always wanted to learn Italian, because I FEEL Italian.  I'm kind of noisy, and fun and I drink wine.  I yell.  And dance and love parties.  But wait...I am stereotyping.  Let me be clear.  That's what I think Italians are like.

But I'm not even close to Italian, I'm a homogenized Western European UK blend.
