freelance mother

That’s the byline that I use on my emails.

Somebody asked me what that meant today, what does it mean to be a freelance mother. Well, it means a lot of things to me. I actually thought it was HILARIOUS when I thought of that as being my signature.

I set my own hours.  All of them.

I don't get paid by the hour.  In fact, I don't get paid.  

I get to work at home.  It is called housework.

I do not have an employer.  I have a Saviour. 

Everything I do I have to "put out there." 

I get the job done however I want.  

Everything  that I do will be judged and evaluated on what I have done with what I was given.

To whom much has been given, my friends, much will be required.
