record keeping can be fun

Record keeping for homeschooling (or anything else in life) is not my strong suit. Even though we don’t have school involvement in our life, I always felt it was important to keep records of all we did, for my own sake, and for the day Big Brother came knocking at my door. Or if the neighbours reported that my kids were playing outside during school hours. PE, duh.

But I had to find super simple ways to keep such records because scrambly. Woohoo scrambly, I’m talking about.

So when the kids were young, I put together pages where I could just “jot” everything in point form. Not possessing personal legible handwriting skills, this was super helpful because most of the words were typed out, except my point form input. Less to decode from my haphazard penmanship.

I altered my system as my kids got older and worked more independently, but I have many times shared the system that I used for so long with younger families. Recently I was diddling about on my design program, and decided to do an updated and super cute version of the “jot” method.

Because I’m not very techy, I’ll put the link to Facebook file RIGHT HERE.

I think you need to be a Facebook person to access that file. I’ll try to think of another way, too.

Maybe these jpeg files work too? Let’s find out.
