the battle against tourism

Alice just got back from a lot of different places.  She looks good.  She must enjoy traveling around seeing the sights. Some people call her a Tourist.  But she's not, I swear. It’s frightening to think that she could have been exposed to all those Tourists who hang about airports with evil intent, using Tourism as a political ammunition.  Alice doesn't exactly look like a Tourist threat.  She mostly stands around in crowds looking a bit dazed and when you ask her a question, she usually stares at you a minute and then says, "Wha?"

I suppose that would be a great disguise if she actually was a Tourist, if she were actually hoping to bomb a plane.  Don't get me wrong.  She's a very smart girl, but when she is in a crowd...her brain falls out.

Messy.

The boys are deeply concerned about Tourism and other forms of religious fanaticism. They find it a frightening fact that one of Canada's primary industries is Tourism.  It’s hard to imagine, considering how nice Canadians are. I realize that is generalizing, of course, I am not actually that nice.  Apart from the clipped Canadian accent, most people would probably assume I was...uh...not Canadian.  Anyway.  Why would people want to spend billions of dollars here per year to see how they can tourise our citizens and pressure our government?

Statistics regarding the threat of Tourism are available at the Canadian Tourism Commission.  Oddly enough, this government organization seems to have a vested interested in increasing Tourism in Canada.

Just Weird.
