chapter the third, sketchy

I spent the better part of our early married life on the soap box to persuade and encourage young mothers to nurse their offspring.  Being naturally enthusiastic, I had a trail of followers who were devoted to The Cause.  Promoting feeding babies from mammary glands.

One day, Sparky said to me, Hey, mammal.  If you were as fired up about your faith as you are about breastfeeding, you'd be a force to be reckoned with.  I was both shocked and humbled.  And kind of mad.  But it was true.

Now, I wasn't lukewarm,  I was livin' it, man. Just getting started.  But I wasn't standing on street corners preaching the gospel either.

So that is when I really starting living it, I guess.  So all of this thinking about priorities set me to wonder what the heck.  Why did people need to be convinced to raise their young in a mammal like manner, why?
We should not have to sell this idea.

We were not given breasts to increase undergarment sales.  It’s true.

We were not given breasts for recreational purposes.  It’s true.

Even the perky upper middle class Caucasian breast was actually built to nurture young. It’s so true.  I swear to God. It’s all true.
