breaking dictation down - real time
My daughter and grandchildren kindly conceded to be recorded doing a dictation lesson, so you can see it in real time!
So for the next couple of posts, I’ll share these videos.
Today’s dictation is with my grandson who just turned five in June. He’s already reading well, so he knows his letters and sounds. His fine motor skills are still maturing (you can see he holds his marker in a fist). We’re going to do a few words, working on letter formation primarily, but we get into some letter combinations. We also talk about Braille, and about how we have options with a lower case “a”.
He corrects my poorly formed “r” (several times). We pull a lot out of three words. But have a watch. The video is about 15 minutes long because we were having fun.
